

Biography

Tzu-Yi (Tiffany) Yeh is a Taiwanese cellist whose work bridges classical performance, contemporary music, and cross-cultural collaboration. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Cello Performance at Arizona State University, where she serves as a Principal Cellist of the ASU Symphony Orchestra, as well as a Strings Teaching Assistant and instructor with the ASU String Project. Her artistry is shaped by a deep commitment to musical storytelling, community engagement, and cultural exchange.
An active performer in both the United States and internationally, Yeh has appeared in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, where she performed as a cellist in the Marvel Studios Infinity Saga Concert Experience at the Isaac Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, under the direction of Anthony Parnther with a featured Hollywood film music orchestra. Her orchestral experience includes performances with the Boston Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Boston Conservatory Opera, Power Station Orchestra (New York City), and the Taiwan Philharmonic Chinese Orchestra, among others. She has performed in renowned halls such as Jordan Hall (New England Conservatory), Sanders Theatre at Harvard University, and Weiwuying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts.
Yeh completed her Master of Music in Cello Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she was actively involved in orchestral, operatic, chamber, and contemporary music projects. She has worked as a session cellist for film and game scoring studios at Berklee College of Music, developing strong sight-reading skills and adaptability in professional recording environments. Her earlier training includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from National Kaohsiung Normal University, where she served as Principal Cellist of both the Symphony Orchestra and String Orchestra.
A dedicated chamber musician and soloist, Yeh has presented solo recitals in both the United States and Taiwan and has collaborated closely with living composers. She has premiered new works and participated in interdisciplinary projects that blend contemporary classical music with cultural narratives. Her recent performances include contemporary and cross-cultural repertoire presented at festivals and special events in Boston and Upper New York State.
Yeh has participated in numerous festivals and workshops, receiving mentorship from distinguished artists including Rhonda Rider, David Russell, Scott Kluksdahl, Mihai Tetel, Jean-Michel Fonteneau, Andrew Mark, Phoebe Carrai, and Wesley Baldwin. She has also performed in masterclasses for renowned cellists such as Guy Fishman (New England Conservatory), Norman Fischer (Rice University), Sung-Won Yang, Dmitri Atapine (Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center), and Kirill Rodin, First Prize winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition.
In addition to her performance career, Yeh is deeply committed to education and community outreach. She has taught private cello lessons across age groups, worked with secondary school music programs, and volunteered in underserved communities, integrating music education with cultural storytelling. Her work reflects a belief that music is not only a performance art, but a powerful means of human connection.
Through her performances, teaching, and scholarly interests, Tzu-Yi (Tiffany) Yeh continues to explore how music can preserve cultural memory, foster dialogue, and resonate across borders.
